mignolo is a 501-c3 nonprofit interdisciplinary arts organization dedicated to forging connections across artistic disciplines. mignolo arts operates out of mignolo arts center, a state of the art, 28x40 foot ADA approved rehearsal studio, gallery, and performance space in Metuchen, NJ.
Pinky Thinker Press, an offering of mignolo arts, is an interdisciplinary publication founded in 2020 that publishes both digital and print editions of each issue. All selected contributors receive a modest stipend. We publish three times a year, and welcome work in every genre you can think of as well as genre-defying works. From dance to poetry to essays to photography to film to comics to music to plays, we are open to everything!
We hope you will also consider submitting to Conversations in Translation. Your submission will be "translated" into another artistic medium by one of our editors and returned to you! We will post your work and our response to it on social media with your permission.
(Submission fees go toward the costs of running our nonprofit organization. If the submission fees are prohibitive to you, please email info@mignolo.art and we will do our best to accommodate accordingly.)
Born out of our mission to forge creative connections across artistic disciplines, Conversations in Translation invites artists working in any medium(s) to submit their work to be “translated” into another discipline or genre by one of our Pinky Thinker Press editors. Submit one piece in any medium/genre per submission. Previously published work is acceptable, and all topics and styles are welcome. We can't wait to respond to your submissions!
